colour collaborative

faded

 colours of autumn
 quality of light
softened
faded
beautifully
melancholic

the sun sets early these days

time for dreaming

when i was asked to join in the colour collaborative, i'd forgotten at first that today, the day we were to post,
is a very special day here in the united states....

the color of memories years past
(which won't ever fade)

happy thanksgiving from our family to yours

thank you for stopping by!
(and thank you for the scarf love!)

What is The Colour Collaborative? All creative bloggers make stuff, gather stuff, shape stuff, and share stuff. Mostly they work on their own, but what happens when a group of them work together? Is a creative collaboration greater than the sum of its parts? We think so and we hope you will too. We'll each be offering our own monthly take on a colour related theme, and hoping that in combination our ideas will encourage us, and perhaps you, to think about colour in new ways.

  3. Hi Lori,

Another beautiful post! It's such fun to see what everyone sees as 'fading' :-)! Your photo's really suit you. I love the scarf from your last post. It looks beautiful, but terribly difficult! It must have been so much work.... What a delight it must be to wear.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  9. Happy Thanksgiving Lori, to you and yours. And thank you so much for taking time out on such a special day to share these gorgeous images with us. I don't always think of faded as a positive word, yet you have reminded me that it is :D

  10. Lori, I have had such fun this evening taking a look at all the Color Collaborative links given over at Annie's place. It's a delight to see the beauty to be found when creative folks catch hold of the word faded...so many different takes ... expressions. And each one is very evocative, giving my mind much to ponder, once my eyes have admired the images.

Fading can come via the strength of the powerful sun upon which we all depend. It can also come from our own memory processes. And...there are always those pesky laundry products.

  23. Thank you for this article. Id personally also like to convey that it can possibly be hard when youre in school and starting out to create a long credit rating. There are many college students who are simply trying to endure and have long or positive credit history can occasionally be a difficult matter to have.
