home again, hello!
my travels took me ten thousand and eighty four miles, five thousand forty two each way to the shetland isles. flying back i read an article in a british airways on board magazine. it said that if a journey has so many places where so many things have happened, it must be much longer than it seems to be; our perception of reality is so much based on our memories.
that would explain why i don't know where to begin. oh my goodness, what a trip. back soon, with hopefully more to share. have a lot of sleep to catch up on first. was afraid to close my eyes in shetland, really didn't want to miss a thing. i've missed being here too, so looking forward to catching up, hope you are all well!

How wonderful, you made it there and back and stayed awake the whole time :) Not that you had much choice with 16 hours of sunlight !! Did you see the August issue of National Geographic? Yes, it is Orkney but Shetland also has some of this amazing 'stuff'. Rest up and let us have it ALL............
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Lori! Rest, rest, rest...then tell us all your stories (please)! xoxo
ReplyDeleteloved the glimpses on instagram from you and your travel buddies.....what a trip!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home to you, Lori.
ReplyDeleteI resisted visiting instagram, which was not easy, because I know it's bound to be full of fabulous Shetland views. Once you've gotten a bit caught up with rest and time zones and home sweet home, I predict that we folks are in for a series of treats.
(I've been reading some Ann Cleeves books just to get a bit of Shetland prep, so I'll appreciate what you will be reporting just a little bit more.)
xo
