PS... the feather looks like a kookaburra feather?
staceyj, thank you, they are beautiful, it's hard to show all the beauty of nature, even when you try with a photograph.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ribbon,i always wondered, i thought it was a heart, Where is the center of Australia? The lovely Rock?the feather is from a raptor, i found it on a trail behind our house. i hope i'll find a kookaburra feather someday, that means i'll be in Australia!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MarjnHomer,i try to leave what i find on the beach, on the beach, but this heart wanted to come home with me!
What beautiful pictures. This past summer I found a heart shaped stone and had to bring it home with me because I love hearts.
Lori I have that identical heart rock. I love it and had to look up at mine the minute I saw yours.Love Renee xoxo
This is not hard to picture. You and Chuck holding hands, strolling barefoot down the empty beach. Waves gently rolling across your feet. Sun, sinking slowly across the crimson horizon. Discovering mementos of a love that was etched in stone....Very sweet indeed!
Just what I needed after a long, windy day. Thanks, Lori ann.

smiles4u, how lucky were you to find the stone. It's a treasure for sure! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Renee,we have sisterstones. Renee, I just thought, does Jacquie have a heart stone? I could send her mine. let me know.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Bogey, you are a poet my friend. That is beautiful.thank you.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rosaria, the wind must have headed north then, we have a couple of very rude days, strong wind can be very destructive.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Val,they'll last with proper care. try pressing them in a book. metaphor? hopefully not! are the leaves you found Mopane? I have some of those in my journal. They looked like heart/angel wings to me.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Thanks Natsy,as you know, you can never run out of things to photograph at the beach!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~housewife, yes, that is seaweed. It is so beautiful I think, I found out that we have over 100 different species on our coast. One time for a class I had to gather 25 different specimens and press them. They looked like art to me. Now I`ll run to the beach and try to find one for myself! I keep forgetting my camera, but I`ll put everything in my pocket that I find. Yes, look down sometimes, but look UP most of the time! When the wind gets strong and cold again, I`ll send you a warm Polish jacket! Wait till you see Marina`s picture! Hugs to you from Geli
How stunning! I still haven't managed to see the last pic, but will be back to try again later x
It´s so impressive , everywhere you look you can see that nature is so perfect in many ways... and you knew exactly how to capture these tiny signs of the beauty that surrounds you through your lens.Have a blessed and magical weekend, dear Lori!
Hi Lori,Turn about is fair play right? I so enjoyed coming over to your blog. So many good things to see and read.I found a heart shaped potato chip once, but never a heart rock. I think if I walked looking down, I'd walk right into a pole or something! From the pictures I thought I recognized San Diego. I wasn't too far off. My daughter lives in the NW also! Small world.
Heart shaped? Wah, what a find indeed. There's much love to be found on the sands, I believe.
Thank you so much, Lori. This is why I love blogging, and why I've missed keeping up with my friends' blogs. I love yoiur photos and words-good things to take into my day. xo, sallymandy

In Nepal, when you find something like that you would put it in your portable shrine. It is a sign that you are following your proper path. Peace and love you you too!
