one good week











photographing : an oil portrait my mother painted of me at age two, her navajo turquoise bracelet. beachcombing and turning leaves. lunch with my daughter, new second hand books. my grandson's face.  

doing :  this, this morning. dinner at the beach, watching the sun set over the pacific, eating california burgers, drinking red wine. my son and his love coming for dessert. connecting with each one of my kids. many moments adding up to one good week.

    Wonderful pictures! So nice your Mom painted you. I did a portrait on my sons, people are not my thing, but still I think although strangely painted it is special. Hope they will also treasure it later.
    Your grandson is just as beautiful as your whole family is.
    I love his blond hair.

    I wish I was there to run with you, how fun. My run is coming up soon arrgh!
    Hope your finger is healed. I did see your knitting peeking out beside you lunch so I know it's still not slowing you down.
    Love the pictures, did your mom do them? I am doing one of each of the grandchildren for my mom, but at the rate I go, they will all be grown before I finish! ;)
    The socks are coming along, although the gussets are causing me a lot of tears. This is one of the many times I wish I wasn't a leftie.

    Beautiful, beautiful photos....some make me think it was only yesterday I lived in CA, instead of 1967....I miss the beautiful vistas, sights and scents.

    Just shows that old film is not totally redundant. I got my pentax out last week, but its so long, I'm not sure what film is in there. Might finish and have it processed soon. Love your photos. Snippets of what the world looks like to you. Beautiful.
