dear friends, exciting news! not too long ago a friend, Carrie Bostick Hoge, shared this on her {swatch diaries} Madder blog...
'I do it my own self," says Imogen (several times a day for the past 8 months or so). I'm so proud of her independence!
Well, now I am doing it my own self, too. I've been feeling quiet about the decision, but I'm ready to share that I have left my full-time position at Quince as Art Director to stay home and have more time with Imogen. Saying it was not an easy decision is an understatement. But I know that it was the right one. My little goose is only little once.
I'll still be working with Quince freelance; we remain best friends forever! But, I'll now have a little time (a little while Immie is at pre-school) to work on Madder and other various projects. So stay tuned!
i'm tickled pink to share with you her new blog and pattern, UNIFORM. i'm really in love with this cardigan, and all the options that are available in the making of it.
AND i have learned first hand how lovely (and desirable) it is, because you see, the blonde model shown below wearing UNIFORM is my girl!! hannah and carrie met for photos in brooklyn (where my daughter lives) over new years eve.

hannah would look beautiful modeling a sack. :) Look at your beautiful girl modeling that really lovely cardigan. Yes, Lolo, you need to make her one.

ReplyDeleteLovely photos :)

An inspring testimony to more than one mother's love for her daughter...and knitting!

What great news for this New Year! The "Uniform" with many options is a wonderful design...I am imagining just how many versions will be knitted from the master instructions. Madder is off to a fine start, and clearly choosing Hannah Rose to model the design was a wise decision. How beautiful she is! Brooklyn also looks very good...hoping these photographs were taken well before the current chill hit.
ReplyDeleteThis chill makes a perfect time to begin a new knitting project!
Best wishes to all.

Oh what fun! What a beautiful pattern and a beautiful model. I wish I could have Hannah model for me!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that your beautiful Hannah Rose is modeling this lovely cardi. I saw it on Carrie's new blog just this morning & I'm thinking about making it too -- maybe the longer version that your little is wearing. Which one do you like best Miss Lori?
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you & yours!

Thank you so much for sharing this! That pattern is exactly what I need. When I was in college my roommate used to call my outfits the uniform. jeans, white t-shirt and a cardigan. This pattern was meant for me :) Your daughter looks absolutely lovely, hope we get to see her model the one you make her. Tell her she sold me the pattern is in the queue and will be purchased shortly.
ReplyDeleteI swooned over this sweater on Carrie's blog earlier, but didn't even realize that was your Hannah. How fun and beautiful (sweater and your girl)!

ReplyDeleteHurray for your girl, and loving Carrie's new blog! How neat that they know eachother! Thank you for sharing all this goodness with us!
ReplyDeleteWonderful beautiful model. Get knitting mama! (That sweater is really aptly named, I would wear that all the time. I need more knitting time in my life).
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! And you blog and pictures are amazing. Greetings from Sweden.
ReplyDeletewoah this is so cool! just the pattern recipe sort i love! thank you for sharing. i want to make the one hannah is modeling too. she's such a gorgeous girl. she is the perfect model. i read your last post and loved that you had some loving family surprises. christmas after children grow up must be something to get used to. i know for my parents it was and probably still is. it's hard on the kids too i'm sure as it was for me. the important thing as we all know is to love each other all year round and not just on those big holidays. your love is huge and allows your kids to be where they need to be. sending you love and warmth from sunny palm springs!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is so beautiful--definitely takes after her mama.♥
ReplyDeleteI'm putting Madder on my pattern wish list for 2014.
