i finished my 'follow your arrow' mystery knit along shawl with ysolda! it's a bit wild, the colors! but kind of part of the mystery and experimenting, this was SO MUCH FUN! a very first mystery kal for me. suddenly mondays became something extra to look forward to, each clue was released this day, there were five in all. i so enjoyed reading through the threads in the raverly group set up just for this. every week would start the same, jump out of bed, check for the new clue, go to work (thinking about which clue to choose, there were two options within each) and hurry home to begin knitting. i'm going to miss it!

ReplyDelete''the arrow'' is very interesting! difficult design, but very nice colours!
ReplyDeleteOh sorry that you haven't been well Lori. Hope you are back to your sunny self. Lovely photo's as usual. I made the bergen cowl after you modelled yours so beautifully. I'm very happy with it.

ReplyDeleteWow, the arrow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour knitting is always so amazing! I should love to go to Orkney and Shetland. It is still a distance from us, but definitely on my list of places to visit. I'm sure you'll take your knitting with you! Here is a link to an event you probably already know about! http://www.shetlandwoolweek.com/
ReplyDeletelovely result in the arrow! :) glad you are feeling better! God keep you!
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is lovely. You have convinced me that knit alongs are fun. What are those pink flowers I see? The colour is so vibrant, so un-eastern Ontario right now, so pretty! Also, I want you to know how welcome your last quote was for for me, thank you!
ReplyDeleteyour shawl turned out fantastic! It has been fun, someone else has to start a mystery shawl with options so we can have the fun all over again. I love santa ynez!
ReplyDeleteDear Lori..
ReplyDeleteFirst...I hope you are on the mend. It is no fun at all to not be feeling well. Take good care of you, please.
Second...Your shawl is lovely. Just like sunshine in the winter desert. Did that yarn gradiate from soft brown into light blue? Love it!!!!
And you, too.

I love the colors you chose for your shawl and the pattern is exquisite! Your words of wisdom ring so true; life is short and you should leave this world happy, XOXO
ReplyDeleteNICE shawl. I would NOT have expected it to come out like that, but I LOVE it. The colors you chose are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteI thought something was up, because I missed your posts. Happy to hear you are feeling better!
Sometimes days in which not much happens, can be good ones indeed :-)! Love, love, love your scarf. There is so much detail in it. It looks sort of difficult. Must have been a lot of work! The colour is crazy, but I like it! It will look wonderful with your blond hair!
Wishing you a happy weekend!

That shawl is lovely - but looks terribly complicated to knit! I love the colours, pure sunshine!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you are on the mend!
you really would never know we knit from the same knitalong!!!! it really was fun…..love the way yours turned out! hope you stay feeling well…..this crazy time of year….freezing last week, 70 degrees today (and threats of tornados)---and snow is predicted tomorrow. Glad I have a new shawl to cozy into!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely shawl. I love its unique-ness. I am glad you are feeling better. Can't wait to see what you knit up with the pom pom yarn.
ReplyDeleteI love to stop by here - your photos are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe colours in your Follow your arrow shawl is stunning. I haven't casted on mine yet...
Love the photo of the pattern colouring :)
Happy to see so many fun things brightening your days, especially given that you were feeling poorly. Glad that you're all better now! Have a sweet weekend, friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! That is one fun & funky shawl, I'd probably be frozen with indecision on how to move forward if the clues gave me choices. I've een very into gold/mustard and natural lately, there's something about that combo...(hard to wear for me, though). And so many other fun things to look at: pom pom yarn and flowers and green things growing in a vineyard. sigggghhhh.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you weren't feeling well and I'm happy you are feeling better! It look so warm there. I am so jealous. Your shawl turned out so fun. I think mystery KALs are so much fun. I love getting a clue once a week. It is fun to pace a knitting project and fun chatting with the group in the mean time :) Will you take me to Africa?! Please.
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is so architectural and organic at the same time...very unexpected from Ysolda but a perfect mystery knit. Excellent pics.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you haven't been well, and noticed I hadn't seen you for a little while, dear Lori! Glad you are feeling better now. The shawl is an amazing knit....unusual colours but not too crazy and I like the combination! Love your sunny pictures and the gorgeous pom pom yarn! Wishing you a happy weekend.

ReplyDeleteYour shawl looks beautiful. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the pom pom yarn knit up. How fun is that? Love all the images of your doings. :)
I love your Arrow Lori! Of all the two-toned ones yours is my favourite. It's the Ombre section that makes it quite unique. I've only just started this knitted on edge on my second Arrow and I think it will take me a while! I really love your clogs! Mel x
ReplyDeleteLovely shawl! I'm a big fan of that color. :)
