today in the east village

my girl called 'mama, what's the one thing you told me i should do here in nyc??!
'get photographed by the sartorialist?!'
(i was kidding, well half way)

'i JUST DID!!!'
last week in the east village hannah was walking and window shopping down 9th street in manhattan,
after stopping for an iced coffee, she found scott schuman waiting on a bench outside
sustainable nyc cafe for her.

this morning he posted the photo he took (The Sartorialist)
hannah and i are sitting together giggling over it all
(the comments, please be kind)
since she is here now, she flew in yesterday for a week, we get to share together!!

thank you scott, i know i'm her mother, but i love the photo!

  1. She looks beautiful! I wrote a short comment over on Scott's site- I'm not usually a fan of his but I'll make an exception for your daughter.
Totally made a point of saying how great her tattoo's looked since not everyone over there is so open minded on the subject; plus I have some of my own!
So exciting for her to be photographed by Scott :)

  17. Lori, of course the photograph of Hannah is fabulous! Pretty wonderful to have that warm sunshine in NYC to accent Hannah's Californian beauty.

Best wishes to you two...enjoy the time together...please tell Hannah that it's a bit chilly here today. Maybe she will bring warmth back to us when she returns to town. xo

  32. Hello dear Lori!!!! It is me, from way up in the Great White North and I have missed you so. And I have read your posts and there is so much to say, but this is where I landed because your daughter is so breath-takingly lovely. And it is so clear how much she resembles you...particularly in your post about Sadie's birthday (happy day to her...twelve is so very good). Love to all your beautiful relations,
xo Jules (and a few more xoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo)
