Oh Lori, what lovely things! That giraffe, and those tiny cups! Somehow I thought you were selling old furniture, but this is all so much fun to look at. Can I come back tomorrow and spend the day with you? I`ll take care of Owen and be real quiet, I promise.
ReplyDeleteI need to come back more often. I could get lost here.
ReplyDeleteI love your workplace - so much better than mine (just rows upon rows of cubicles :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing us to work with you today Lori.
ReplyDeleteI recently discovered you and very much enjoy visiting your wonderful blog. What a lovely environment for work! Also, Owen is so adorable! I can understand how you couldn't resist taking him home.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes!
A lovely working place. I love going to curiosity shop just looking and enjoying cute, pretty and quirky little things there.
ReplyDeleteCiao Lori!
ReplyDeleteI love where you work, I imagined it exactly like that!
Thank you for taking us with you, especially for the mermaid in the mirror!
Big hugs
Lola xx
Hey Lori,
ReplyDeleteOk.... so I could do some damage in your store! Everything is soooo appealing to me.....yikes!
Thanks for your comment on my blog....btw.... I not only have a art supply problem but you can throw shoes in there also...lol!
Thanks for sharing!!
I would LOVE to work there, Lori! You are a lucky ducky for sure.
ReplyDeleteI would never go home!
Your blog is looking beautiful with your bits and pieces added.It is very comforting and welcoming....sigh
I think I will pull up a comfy chair and have a quick cuppa with you before Haylie wakes up. Shhhh.....xx♥
Lori,
ReplyDeleteI feel as though I was there right along with you. The shop looks delightful ... whimsical. I think it is all of the beautiful colours. Good place to spend time and I wish I could browse further. Thanks for taking us along.
Such pretty things! Is that where you work? Oh I am jealous :D. I had fun reading the post. Great pics too!
ReplyDeleteLori, is this where you work?!? The things in the store look like so much fun! Not at all like the stuffy antique stores here in Savannah! I would love to come shop! And hang out with you! And chat! And play with Owen! Thanks for this glimpse into your world! And...you are simply gorgeous!! Love, Silke
ReplyDeletewhen was the last time i've seen a smile so kind?
ReplyDeletelori, at first i thought this was your house and i'm saying to myself, 'oh my god, her HOUSE looks like that?' when i saw the blue bookcase with all those fab kitchen doodads, i said, 'oh my god is she even more interesting that i thought,' which i didn't think was possible.
so i'm kind of glad this is where you work so you won't be sooooo cool that maybe i am not sufficiently cool enough to be your friend.
not to say that i don't know your house is indeed cool too.
(ok, stop now kj, you could go on about nothing indefinitely) (oh but just say you love that smile one more time)
lori, your smile is great.
:)
geli it is fun! even the old furniture, it's all wonderful. did you know i had a german couple in today and i thought why couldn't it be you? (they were charming though,so sweet)
ReplyDelete~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
thank you nancy and welcome! i've had the most enjoyable time visiting you also, i think we have mutual friends, it's a small blog world isn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ciao lola! ah that's great, i like that. hope your staying cozy and warm in the north of sweden. i am sure i would freeze my tail off (mermaids tail). :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
manon, that's ok, i could add books and handbags. oh really, i say why fight it? i'm glad you enjoyed all the vintage charm!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
thanks natsy, i am lucky and very happy there too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
lyn, i'm really glad you enjoyed, it is a lovely place to be, most of the time it doesn't feel like work, there's a lot of life in well loved items. i love vintage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
chaitra, it is and thank you! we have 2 shops within walking distance and i manage both, both equally charming!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
thank you silke, i think our shops are more vintage than antique. many items are repurposed, the original green! it is fun, come and see!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ah kj, gee man. thank you and you could have kept talking, i love reading your comments.
my house is not as cool that's for sure, but i'll show you when i do that couch post like you did.
(i am glad i don't live in this 100+ year old building with no insulation or heat and holes in the roof!) fun for work though. :)
How I`d love to surprise you one day, Bonnie Lori, wearing shades and a huge hat, and talking with a thick German accent, haha! And then we`d roll over, giggling, on the floor with Owen, trying to be real careful not to smash those lovely glass showcases, and you`d show me every single item, and I`d help you talk with your German customers. And in the evening we`d go surfing...Then I`ll be the Little Old Lady from Pasadena, and you the mermaid of Carpinteria...
ReplyDeleteOh my, what joy in fantasies!
Lori, thanks so much for visiting and I very much appreciate your lovely comment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to work! Owen is so darn cute. I wish I had a puppy to love!

i'm back...that is your shop... i thought it was your kitchen...what is it called..there was/is an antique shop in Carp my mom just loved..early american...but i can't remember the name.....
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm back, too! Just wanted to mention how nice it is that you found Kary at Farmhouse Kitchen and you have much in common!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I noticed on her blog that you had mentioned how you love Tasha Tudor...She was an inspiration for me many many years ago when I was just started out on my own as a starving artist! I had moved to Boston and used to admire her books in the bookshops. I even wrote to her for advise and she wrote a lovely letter back that I cherish. Years later, when my husband and I had a little gallery of our work in the seacoast town we live in, we actually met the neighbors of Tasha Tudor. They had a summer home in Vermont and happened to stop in our gallery. Somehow Tasha Tudor's name came up and they told us some wonderful stories. Small world!
Nan
geewhizz what a colourful environment you work. It sure as hell beats my boring office on the 10th floor of a grey building in downtown Johannesburg!!!
