on the island of happy days

my goodness! it feels like i've been gone forever and it's really just been a long weekend.
late thursday night i took the scenic route to wisconsin. my journey began at santa barbara
airport, then stopping in san francisco for two hours, then houston for three, finally landing in minneapolis, minnesota. friday morning. my girl, hannah rose, flew in from new york city, arriving only minutes before me.
gathering our rental car, and directions, we began making our way to wisconsin, and stout's island,
a three hour drive and then a short ferry to an island only accessible by boat...

but really an entire world away. it was heaven. oh my gosh wisconsin (and minnesota) you took my breath away, how beautiful are these states. i have so much to show. mornings began as in the above photo
(bliss) but there was also canoeing, lake swimming, nature walks, fishing...and...

a wedding (sigh) my eldest girl and her love. be back soon with more to share!

  17. Lori, what a hippitty hoppitty route your flights took from California to Wisconsin! I can well imagine what joy it was to meet up with Hannah Rose and have that that little boat take to you the beautiful island for a beautiful occasion.

As always, I also like the peek at you knitting!

And...of course, I also look forward to seeing more of that wedding celebration.
