Are you going to your daughter? I have been thinking about her during Sandy.....Nice hat you made perfect for a NY visit ;)
not yet marianne, just the hat is going to the city!
I love it! I won't be able to get the yarn here, but I'll adapt something...Pennyx
most any worsted weight will do, 4.5 - 5 sts. per inch :)
Lori, that hat is so perfectly knit...Bravo! I love the reverse rows that make the defining ridges. The Shelter yarn is a great choice for this design, too.NYC is coming back little by little, although there are some areas so devastated that "coming back" must be a foreign expression to the folks whose homes were destroyed.Best wishes to you and yours. xo
perfect color! safe travels sweet lori :)
It's lovely! Your knit work is always so beautiful! Best wishes, Tammy
I really like that hat! It is especially nice as it bears a swedish name!Do you really need a hat like that in California??Karin-Ida
i loved the swedish name karin-ida! it does really get cold in california, but this hat is going to my daughter in nyc. :)
Such a lovely hat, Lori! We are already needing our hats on here in the UK as it is becoming very cold. Your knitting is always so beautiful and inspiring :)Helen x

Love the hat, and the colour, it looks kinda vikingish!, think it might be the bobbles!
What a sweet knitted hat - my knitting needles have been laid aside too long as quilting took over...after the holidays, I will get reacquainted and download the hat pattern...just love it!
